Clearpay/Afterpay Payment Guide

What is Clearpay?

Clearpay (known as Afterpay in some regions) is a "buy now, pay later" service that allows you to split your MatchMint purchase into four equal installments, paid over six weeks, with no interest or additional fees when you pay on time. This payment option gives you the flexibility to get your custom sports cards immediately while spreading the cost over time.

Note: Clearpay is called Afterpay in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The service works the same way regardless of the name.

How Clearpay Works

When you choose Clearpay at checkout, here's what happens:

1. First payment: Pay 25% of the total purchase amount upfront
2. Remaining payments: Three more equal payments of 25% each, automatically charged every two weeks
3. Complete payment: Your order is fully paid after six weeks

How to Use Clearpay at Checkout

1. Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout
2. Select "Clearpay" or "Afterpay" as your payment method
3. You'll be redirected to Clearpay or prompted to enter your Clearpay details
4. For new users: Create an account and add a payment method
5. For existing users: Log in to your account
6. Review and confirm your payment plan
7. Complete your purchase and return to MatchMint

Eligibility Requirements

To use Clearpay, you generally need to meet these requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a valid phone number and email address
• Have a valid debit or credit card
• Be a resident of a country where Clearpay/Afterpay operates (UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or select European countries)
• Pass Clearpay's approval process

Order Limits

Clearpay typically has minimum and maximum order values:

• Minimum: Usually around £20/€20/$20
• Maximum: Varies based on your payment history with Clearpay

New Clearpay users often start with lower spending limits that increase over time as they successfully make payments.

Managing Your Clearpay Payments

After your purchase:

1. You'll receive payment instructions and reminders from Clearpay via email and text
2. Download the Clearpay app or visit their website to manage payments
3. Payments are automatically charged to your card every two weeks
4. You can make early payments if you wish

• Payment Calendar: See all scheduled payments in calendar view

Returns and Refunds with Clearpay

If you need to return items purchased using Clearpay:

1. Initiate your return through MatchMint's standard return process
2. Once we process your return, we'll notify Clearpay
3. Clearpay will adjust your payment schedule or issue a refund
4. For partial returns, your payment amount will be adjusted accordingly

Late Payments

If a scheduled payment fails:

1. Clearpay will notify you and attempt to collect payment again
2. Late fees may apply if payment remains unsuccessful
3. For UK customers: Late fees are capped at 25% of the order value or £36, whichever is less
4. For US customers: Late fees vary by state but typically start at $10 per missed payment
5. Continued missed payments may affect your ability to use Clearpay in the future

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Clearpay affect my credit score?

Clearpay typically doesn't perform credit checks and doesn't report to credit agencies. However, in some cases, they may report consistently missed payments.

Can I pay off my balance early?

Yes, you can make early payments or pay your entire balance at any time without penalty through the Clearpay app or website.

What if my Clearpay payment is declined?

If your Clearpay payment is declined, you can:

• Try a different payment method at checkout
• Contact Clearpay's customer service for assistance
• Check if you've reached your Clearpay spending limit

Can I use Clearpay for multiple orders?

Yes, you can have multiple Clearpay orders active at once, as long as you stay within your overall Clearpay spending limit.
